Frank Alwyn Octave was born in Georgetown, Guyana on Wednesday, February 4, 1959 to Winifred Richardson and Cecil Octave. On Thursday, August 16, 2018, Frank went home to be with the Lord.

Frank was an easy going, dignified, and candid person. He was the youngest born of three. He was raised in a God-fearing household that emphasized discipline. He was always grateful to God for everything that he received in life. He taught his children to be content with the simple things of life and to never complain. People saw him as a hard worker. This was evident as he selflessly worked long hours providing for his family. He always desired a quality life for himself and his family. He thoroughly enjoyed listening to the radio, watching movies, and cooking. He had an unquenchable thirst for the word of God and had no fear debating it, like any great theologian. If equated to a Biblical character, he would be Jeremiah the prophet of old, he would be the one who would say “Thus saith the Lord; get it right or get left.”

Frank accepted Jesus Christ at a young age of nineteen, in Brooklyn, NY. He joined Full Gospel Assembly underneath the leadership of Pastor Michael Bacchus, where he met his beautiful wife, Gloria Strickland. They were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, May 27, 1989. They became actively involved in children’s ministry. In his early thirties, he moved to Richmond, Virginia with his family. While living in Richmond, he was an active member of the Richmond Christian Center serving faithfully and continuing his work with teaching Sunday school. For those that he taught and everyone that he reached, he will never be forgotten. He was preceded in death by his mother Winifred Richardson, father Cecil Octave, mother-in-law Clara lee Strickland, daughter Damaris Grace Strickland, and son Lutalo C. Octave.

He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories his beloved wife of 29 years Gloria J. Octave, three sons; Lemuel, Lowell, and Leighton Octave, one daughter; Evelyn Octave with his two grandsons Pedro Jr. and Isaiah Slater one granddaughter, Aaliyah Walker; a sister Edol Richardson and her two children Onica Inniss and Aquil Agard, two brothers Collin Octave and Richford Richardson and his son Quincy Richardson, cousin David and the Newton Family; cousin Marcella and Richardson family, in-laws Ornie Strickland and the Strickland Family and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, church family, and friends.
