Obituary

Hettie Brunette Feggins Taylor, 77 went from labor to rewards on March, 13, 2008.

She was born on December 18, 1930, the second child of Robert P. and Mable B. Feggins. She was a devoted member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church for over 60 years. She was a graduate of Armstrong High School class of 1947. Her greatest contribution in life was being a mother. She instilled a sense of community service early in her children's lives. Her children began serving as lifeguards for the City of Richmond in the late 1970s, and her grandchildren continue that practice to this day. She was a devoted wife of 50 years to Harry Lloyd Taylor Sr., her first and only love. Together they raised nine boys and four girls. They include Harry Lloyd Jr. (deceased), Vincent Lee Sr., Hettie Lorraine, Valois Juanita, William Purcell (deceased), Lynwood Garland Sr., Louis Valentino Sr., (deceased), George Vernon Sr., Marvin Darnell Sr., Mable Marie, Vinceretta Denise, Paul Lafon and Saul Lamont Sr. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two daughters-in-law, three sons-in-law, two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and a host of other family and friends.
