William Thomas Harling, Jr. AKA Lil Kidd, was born September 28, 1973 to William and Cynthia Harling, Sr. entered eternal rest November 22, 2018. As a child, he was nurturing, eager to help, anxious to learn, sweet, but mischievous to say the least. He attended school in Washington, D.C.

William was a hard worker and held many jobs throughout his lifetime, including McDonald’s, 84 Lumber, Friday’s, Giant, Safeway, Nordstrom, CVS, Amsted Rail, and the United States Postal Service just to name a few. When Will applied to work for the USPS, he passed his exam with such an extremely high score, which prompted 19 different post office facilities looking to hire him. Despite his short time of service with the USPS, Will demonstrated a passion for this company; he even went to work on the days when he really didn’t want to.

There are so many words you can say about the things Will completed and achieved in his lifetime, but if you knew him, you knew he had faith in God. You knew he had a heart of gold, and you knew he was always researching new things, despite his quiet nature. Will’s favorite quote of all time was “Still I Rise”, spoken by the great Maya Angelou. Will loved to bake and cook new foods. His food was so good, he would have people craving his punchbowl cake, his homemade whipped cream, pies, or just about anything he could whip up.
Will was a dedicated Redskins fan. No matter what the Redskins did, Will remained loyal to them and showed that HTTR (Hail to the Redskins) pride. Coincidently, his favorite color was red. When it comes to music, Will was a huge fan of D.C. go-go music, and he loved to listen to the smooth sounds of Jill Scott. As much as he loved the Redskins and cooking, he loved to spend time with his family and friends.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Harling, maternal grandparents Beatrice and Charles Sears, paternal grandfather Harling, as well as other family members.

Will leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of six years, Demeka Harling and four children; Kamisha Harling of Fredericksburg, his first born, whom he loved and adored to no end; Kyin Johnson, Demeka’s daughter, whom William loved as his own; and Willow and Demeko Harling, He also leaves behind his father, William Harling, Sr. of MD, his grandmother Sally Harling; two sisters Keisha of DC and Angel Harling of MD; a niece, Khalah Harling; nephews Keyon and Karter Harling; and a host of other family and friends.
