At-Need (Per Diem) Funeral Attendant
This position interacts directly with client families during their time of need and is responsible for creating and maintaining a premier level of client family satisfaction. The Funeral Attendant will assist the Funeral Directors in the set-up of viewings, funeral services, memorial services, dressing decedents, the movement of casketed/uncasketed decedents, and other related paraphernalia in and out of the visitation area, funeral home chapel, church or other place of services. The Funeral Attendant will drive the hearse, other vehicles in the funeral cortege, and/or other funeral related activities.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Applicants must have a flexible schedule, professional appearance, good attitude, be a team player, be able to lift 75lbs+, have good written & verbal communication skills, a clean valid driver’s license, and pass a background test and drug screen. Funeral Director Licensed/Pre-Licensed
Richmond based funeral home is looking for a full-time Licensed/pre-licensed Funeral Director. The new hire will work directly under the managing funeral director. He/she is primarily responsible for making funeral arrangements, leading funeral services and helping with removals. We are looking for someone who wants a career, not just a job. He/she must be professional in conduct, have excellent interpersonal and social skills and be caring in nature. Having a good work ethic and ability to work with a team is a must.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Meeting with client families to listen and arrange personalized services; Ensure all files and paperwork are completed in a timely manner, accurate, up-to-date and maintained in accordance with relevant laws, regulations & managing funeral director requirements; Conducts and attends services regularly; Must have: Valid Funeral Director and Embalmer License (Newly Licensed or only needing to take the state exam is ok); Email resume to jobs@chilesfuneralhome.com (only electronic submissions will be considered)
