Our Story

Chiles Funeral Home has been serving Richmond area families for years. We are honored to be a part of the rich history of this community and plan to be a part of it for many years to come.

At Chiles Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our family's needs during their time of need and in the trust the Richmond community has placed in us. For over 80 years, we have had the honor of serving generations of families by striving to maintain the highest of standards as set forth by our founder, O.P. Chiles Sr., in 1933, and today by his son O.P. Chiles, Jr.

This trust and commitment to service was passed down to one of the longest serving Richmond Funeral Directors, N. Purcell Brown. Over the course of his 53 years as a Richmond Funeral Director, Mr. Brown lived by the ideas set out by our founder, O.P. Chiles Sr.; kindness and devotion to Service is our Distinction. This distinction of service is a tradition we continue to serve by today. As every life is celebrated with respect and honor, and every family is treated with purposeful compassion and thoughtful care.
