As we follow the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), rest assured that the well being of our guests, staff and community are of utmost importance to us. We are following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and our local health departments to help limit exposure and mitigate transmission of the virus.

We are reducing our service offerings for the  Chiles Funeral Home Chapel  to limit large gatherings of people. Until further notice we will only be offering PRIVATE services of no more than 30 people  or graveside services. Public visitations will be limited to 30 persons at any one time.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience in our effort to protect our community, your families and our staff.

IN REMEMBRANCE
N. Purcelle Brown was a fixture of Chiles Funeral Home. Purcelle was beloved by everyone he encountered. He was a man of dignity and respect! Not only was Purcelle a U.S. Veteran, he was a family man, Funeral Director, and a pillar of the Church Hill Community. He was a pioneer in the Funeral Service Industry. He served families with advice, consolation, donations when needed as well as a strong shoulder to lean on during difficult times. To us here at Chiles, he was "Our Sweetheart", a kind knowledgeable man with a great heart and a caring spirit. Purcelle was our "In-House Historian", he could vividly recall events from the early years of Chiles with great detail. Until a few weeks before his passing Purcelle remained dedicated to funeral service and was always readily available to help out with families, funeral services, fellow co-workers, as well as his Moore Street Baptist Church family in any way he could.
